Amy Kristan Raffaldt, Criminal Lawyer
Ms. Raffaldt is a criminal defense lawyer in our Myrtle Beach, South Carolina office. She has been employed with the firm for approximately seven years. She started with the firm as a paralegal in 2008. She went to the Charleston School of Law in 2010, but still worked closely with the firm as a law clerk at our Charleston location. She assisted with criminal and appellate matters. While attending law school, Ms. Raffaldt was a member of the Charleston Law Review. Only a select few students are actually selected as a member of the law review. Her exceptional writing skills also earned her several awards in law school and she graduated with honors.
As an attorney, Ms. Raffaldt handles state and appellate cases at the firm. She takes great pride in her work and keeps in close contact with her clients. She ensures that her clients are fully informed during the process. She has successfully defended her clients and has argued before the South Carolina Court of Appeals on several occasions. She has written briefs to the South Carolina Court of Appeals, South Carolina Supreme Court and Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. She has also aided clients with their post-conviction relief and habeas petitions in state and federal court.
