DUI Penalties in South Carolina:

    1st Offense:
    1.    $400.00 fine or at least 48 hours in jail, but no more than 30 days in jail.  

    2nd Offense within 1 year:
    1.    From a $2,000.00 to a $5,000.00 fine and at least 5 days is jail, but no more
            than 1 year in jail.

    3rd Offense
    1.    From a $3,000.00 to a $6,000.00 fine and at least 60 days in jail, but no more            than 3 years.

    4th Offense
    1.     Jail of not less than1 year and up to 5 years.

    3rd Offense or More with Great Bodily Injury
    1.    Minimum Sentence is Mandatory

    1.     Serious Bodily Injury- fine $5,100.00 to $10,100.00 and 30 days to 15                     years in jail
    2.    DUI with Death- $10,100.00 to $25,100.00 and 1 year to 25 years in jail.
